This is the week, Baby!!

We are officially less than 3 days away from finding out if baby #2 is a boy or a girl! I think I'm in a bit of disbelief that the time has come. I had my final doctor's appointment late last week and as I suspected my body still isn't changing in spite of all the contractions I've been having so I'm planning on this baby following through with "the plan". It is a bit strange because it has made me feel somewhat invincible these past few days, and in a "live it up" mood. It will be quite funny if I end up going in to labor in the next couple days, but hey I think God does have a sense of humor ;)

We have been truly living it up around these parts lately, starting with celebrating our last weekend as a family of 3! It is crazy the amount of pictures I ended up taking, but I'll spare y'all and share the real good ones ;)

Saturday started off with Ben building a fence on one side of the house that we knew would be easier to get done now versus after the baby came so Lucy and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and played outside!

This little girl LOVES this water table! Our sweet friends got it for us and we just got it out a few days ago and she is obsessed! And I was glad to see her warm up to her baby pool because earlier this year she was not too interested. I adore this picture of her and her Daddy :) She is such a daddy's girl, and this picture just expresses it perfectly. She looks so content just hanging out in his lap.

After a good afternoon nap, we cleaned up and got ready for church. I had to get a picture of Lucy in her new dress and jelly shoes! It is so hard to find dresses that fit her with her cute round belly and short stature so I found this one in a 12-18 month and it fit perfectly! Plus I had to buy the jelly shoes because I had some when I was a kid, so why not bring 'em back! ;)

Sunday was declared all day family day that started with Lucy's first trip to the Denver Zoo. Unfortunately we had a very sleepless night Saturday night (tummy ache, teething, not really sure?) but we were determined to not let that get the best of us.

Lucy had a blast! I feel like she is at the perfect age for the zoo right now. She got really excited for most of the animals and was pretty content going back and forth between her stroller and walking around to see everything.

Anxiously awaiting the start of the sea lion show!

Nothing melts my heart like seeing her reaching up for Daddy's hand :)

The only successful family picture I was able to get

Tippy toes...

She lasted a good while at the zoo, past her nap time and amazingly did not fall asleep in the car so we took advantage and stopped for lunch. Once we got home, there were naps to be had! The rest of the day consisted of more fun outside at the water table and grilling out so we could soak up the sunshine.

I was amazed at how well she tolerated the freezing cold water! ;)

That's a wrap on the weekend! There will be lots of snuggles, dance parties, and other shenanigans going on in these next few days to keep us busy! So...until next time...when this family of 3 becomes a family of 4!! :)
